Faculty of Media and Mass Communication in collaboration with Career Services Office organized Mr. Muhammad Ikram Barkat’s, DG PEMRA Operations Punjab visit to UCP.
Mr. Barkat elaborated on PEMRA’s rules and regulations, censorship mechanisms in electronic media, the scope and ambit of PEMRA’s authority, and the ways misinformation and disinformation spread.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment where students posed pertinent questions regarding freedom of expression, misinformation, and other related issues. As a token of appreciation, Dr. Baig presented a shield to Mr. Barkat, acknowledging his valuable time and insightful contribution.
