UCP’s Space Research Center (SRC) competed against more than 600 projects from 70 institutions at the Punjab Higher Education Commission’s PinTEX Expo 2025 and secured first place with their student-built satellite prototypes and a satellite ground station, a testament to STEM education led by Dr. M. Kamran Saleem. Following this victory, an award ceremony, attended by faculty members, researchers, and students, was arranged for the distribution of certificates and cash prizes to the SRC team. Senior university officials presented the PHEC first prize of PKR 500,000, which was awarded to individual students and researchers. This event highlighted UCP’s research culture and its commitment to fostering the next generation of innovators in Pakistan’s space sector.
