Department of Basic and Applied Chemistry (BAAC), Faculty of Science & Technology at UCP, hosted the 7th meeting of the Board of Studies under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, HoD. The meeting was attended by senior internal faculty members and distinguished external experts, including Prof. Dr. Aziz Ur Rehman from GC University, Lahore, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tayyab from UVAS, Lahore. The discussion centered on aligning the Chemistry and Biochemistry programs with current trends and opportunities to attract students. Proposed initiatives included summer courses on entrepreneurship, alumni engagement via seminars, industry-led mock interviews, and strengthening links with ORIC. The Board planned to revise course outlines for programs to align with HEC guidelines, incorporating specialized track courses and training components to enhance students’ hands-on experience.
