Department of Microbiology, in collaboration with World Wide Scientific, organized a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Training Workshop to enhance the practical molecular biology skills. This training was designed to enhance the practical molecular biology skills of students and faculty. Dr. Namrah Anwar and Dr. Mohsin Gulzar Barq supervised the training under the leadership of Dr. Aatif Amin, HoD, Microbiology, and Dr. Hafiza Rizwana Kausar, Dean, FOST. Participants gained knowledge and technical expertise in PCR techniques, DNA amplification protocols, contamination control strategies, and data analysis. Scientists from World Wide Scientific offered comprehensive demonstrations on the latest PCR equipment and reagents used in diagnostic and research laboratories. This initiative proves UCP’s ongoing commitment to bridging the gap between academic learning and industry demands.
