Department of Basic and Applied Chemistry organized a Poster and Innovation Competition featuring over 60 final-year students from the BS Chemistry and BS Biochemistry undergraduate programs. Students presented innovative projects on topics such as green nanomaterials, eco-friendly sunscreens, biodegradable surfactants, phytochemicals in biomedicine, and advanced bioremediation.
Evaluators from both academia and industry were invited to evaluate and provide constructive feedback, including Mr. Hamed K. Lateef, CEO, TTI Labs; Dr. Waqas Ahmed Khan, CEO, EnterTech Group; Mr. Muhammad Awais Bhatti, Executive Director, Stars Educational Network; Prof. Dr. Hafiza Rizwana Kausar, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh HoD; Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman, Coordinator, BS Programs; and other faculty members. The event showcased the students’ innovation and creativity, emphasizing UCP’s dedication to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
