Food and Nutritional Sciences students as part of their clinical exposure under Rainbow Obesity & Eating Disorders Centre, visited Sundas Foundation — a center supporting patients with thalassemia and hemophilia. It included an orientation, a tour of the blood bank and transfusion unit, and direct observation of donation and storage protocols. Students also conducted individual dietary assessments and provided personalized nutrition counseling, focusing on iron regulation and micronutrient support. This hands-on experience helped students apply clinical knowledge, enhance communication skills, and understand the nutritional challenges faced by hematological patients.
