The University of Central Punjab (UCP) commemorated the 78th Independence Day of Pakistan 🇵🇰 with a dignified ceremony attended by esteemed guests, Mr. Munib Iqbal, grandson of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, and Ms. Raza Riaz, daughter of Abul Asar Hafeez Jalandhari. The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Hammad Naveed, Pro-Rector UCP, Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob, Provost UCP, and Mr. Semih Duran, representative of the Yunus Emre Institute. The occasion commenced with the flag-hoisting, symbolising unity and sovereignty, followed by inspiring speeches from the distinguished guests highlighting the nation’s rich history and enduring values. Students showcased their patriotism through captivating performances, celebrating the cultural and historical spirit of Pakistan. The ceremony concluded with a symbolic cake-cutting and a disciplined military parade, marking the day with respect, honour, and national solidarity.
