LabXpert 2025: Hands-on Training and Skill Development in Laboratory Instrumentation & Practices, organized by the Department of Basic and Applied Chemistry, continued with an in-depth practical session on the Rotary Evaporator (Rotavapor) conducted by Prof. Dr. Amina Arif. The session provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of solvent recovery, sample concentration, and the applications of the Rotavapor in organic synthesis and natural product extraction. Prof. Dr. Amina Arif demonstrated the working principles of the instrument while emphasizing key aspects such as safe operation, energy efficiency, and reproducibility in laboratory evaporation techniques. Participants actively engaged in the practical exercises, gaining valuable experience in optimizing parameters for effective solvent evaporation and sample preservation, further enhancing their research and laboratory skills.
