The Opening Ceremony of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences’ International Conference on Mental Health, Human Dignity, and Climate Change: Mitigating Global Psychological Risks marked a significant beginning to the three-day event. The ceremony commenced with a welcome note by Dr. Khalid Manzoor Butt, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, who emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary dialogue on pressing global issues. The session featured thought-provoking addresses by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Evelin Lindner; Guest of Honour, Prof. Dr. Beate Seibt; and Pro Rector, Dr. Hammad Naveed, who collectively highlighted the themes of dignity, responsibility, and sustainability as essential pillars for global well-being. The day concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Shazia Hasan, Head of the Psychology Department, followed by the presentation of souvenirs to the distinguished guests, symbolizing appreciation for their valuable contributions.
