Volunteers in Service Department launched the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence with a seminar on Child and Early Marriages, held in collaboration with partner NGO Search for Justice. The session explored the impact of early marriages on girls’ health, education, and well-being, while addressing the socio-economic and cultural factors that sustain this practice. Executive Director of Search for Justice, Mr. Iftikhar Mubarak, shared real-life cases, legal frameworks, and strategies for prevention, encouraging students to engage in awareness, reporting, and community initiatives. This initiative contributes to key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 5 – Gender Equality, and SDG 16 – Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions.
