A strategic engagement was organized by the President, UCP Alumni Association, Mr. Iftikhar Hussain, bringing together leadership from the University of Central Punjab and Sapphire Fibres Limited to advance academia–industry collaboration. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hammad Naveed, Pro Rector, University of Central Punjab; Dr. Athar Siddiqui, Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences; Yasser Aamer Awan, Director Takhleeq; and Mian Bazaf Shahbaz, Central Vice President Placements, UCP Alumni Association, while Sapphire Fibres Limited was represented by Ms. Aaliya Iqbal, Chief Human Resources Officer; Ms. Sana Ehsan, Group Head – Performance Management & Talent and UCP Alumna (Class of 2007); and Shaheer Munawar, Group Head of Compliance, EHS & Sustainability. The discussion centered on establishing a structured partnership with emphasis on sustainability, engineering innovation, and applied problem-solving to strengthen talent development and institutional collaboration between academia and industry.
