The Public Speaking Video Competition provides students with a platform to express ideas, challenge perspectives, and demonstrate persuasive communication. Participants deliver a 2-minute recorded speech on contemporary issues, evaluated for clarity, originality, and impact.

2.Speech Format Requirements
- Speech duration: Minimum 1 minute 30 seconds and Maximum 2 minutes
- Speeches exceeding 2 minutes will incur a penalty of up to 5 marks or disqualification.
- The speech must address the selected topic.
- Language of delivery – English language only
3.Video Recording Specifications
To ensure fairness and standardization:
- Video must be recorded in landscape (horizontal) format.
- The participant must be clearly visible.
- Audio must be clear and free from excessive background noise.
- Adequate lighting must be used.
- No background music, sound effects, or visual overlays permitted.
- Minimal editing allowed (basic trimming only).
- No teleprompters or visible cue cards allowed.
4.Originality & Academic Integrity
- The speech must be the participant’s original work.
- Plagiarism, copying, or use of previously published speeches is strictly prohibited.
- Use of AI-generated scripts without significant personal adaptation is discouraged and may affect scoring under originality criteria.
- The organizers reserve the right to screen submissions for plagiarism.
5.Submission Process
Participants must:
- Submit their video via (Google Form / Official Email / Submission Portal) (TBD)
- Use the prescribed file format: MP4, MOV, or AVI.
- Ensure file size does not exceed (Limit: 500 MB).
- Submit before the official deadline – 13th March 2026, 23:59pm
- Late submissions will not be accepted.

6.Evaluation Process
- The Speech Contest is being held in the English language only.
- Male and female students, both are eligible to participate.
- Each participant will deliver a minimum of 1 minute and 30 seconds and a maximum of 2 minutes speech on one of the given topics.
- Each participant may submit only one entry. Group submissions are not permitted (individual participation only).
- The panel of three judges will be selected by the University itself whose decision will be final and unchallengeable at any level including court of law.
- The Judges can disqualify any speaker, if found using un-parliamentary language or passing derogatory remarks. Speakers must not make controversial, or sectarian remarks, particularly regarding religions, genders, or political officials.
- Reading from papers or notes is strictly prohibited. Violating this rule can lead to immediate disqualification.
- Scores will not be publicly disclosed unless specified.
- The evaluation will be based strictly on the official judging rubric.
- All entries will be evaluated after the submission deadline.
7.Code of Conduct
Participants must:
- Maintain professional decorum.
- Avoid hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or offensive content.
- Refrain from political campaigning or religious provocation.
- Ensure attire and presentation are appropriate for an academic setting.
Entries violating ethical or professional standards will be disqualified.
8.Intellectual Property & Usage Rights
By submitting a video, participants:
- Grant organizers the right to use, publish, or share submitted videos for promotional or academic purposes.
- Retain personal ownership of their work.
9. Organizer’s Rights
The organizing committee reserves the right to:
- Modify competition dates if necessary.
- Disqualify entries that do not comply with the rules.
- Cancel the competition in case of unforeseen circumstances.

5.Rules & Regulations
DOODLE REQUIREMENTS: The Doodle and supporting statements must meet the following criteria (“Doodle Requirements”):
- They must not be derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, disparaging, libellous or contain any content that is inappropriate, indecent, sexual, profane, tortuous, slanderous, discriminatory in any way, or that promotes hatred or harm against any group or person, or otherwise does not comply with the theme and spirit of the Contest.
- They must not contain content, material or any element that is unlawful, or otherwise in violation of or contrary to all applicable federal, state, or local laws and regulations including the laws or regulations in any state where the Doodle and supporting statement are created.
- They must not contain any content, material or element that displays any third-party advertising, slogan, logo, trademark, representation of characters indicating a sponsorship or endorsement by a third party, commercial entity or that is not within the spirit of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion.
- They must be original, unpublished works that do not contain, incorporate or otherwise use any content, material or element that is owned by a third party or entity.
- The submitted Doodle must be the Entrant’s own original work.
