Under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, the 4th meeting of the Climate Change R&D Cluster, established by Punjab Higher Education Commission, was held on March 10, 2026, bringing together six leading universities from Punjab to discuss collaborative research initiatives on climate change. Representing University of Central Punjab, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh presented progress on the project “Air Pollution Monitoring of PM2.5 in Lahore to Investigate the Causes of Smog and its Health Impacts, and Fabrication of Air Purifiers at UCP,” focusing on monitoring air pollution, identifying smog causes, assessing health impacts, and developing air purification solutions.
