Pre-conference workshop on Solution Focused Therapy

Department of Psychology in collaboration with Fountain House conducted a pre-conference workshop on “Solution Focused Therapy” under the supervision of Dr. Asir Ajmal, Dean Arts and Social Sciences, and Dean Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Gift University, Gujranwala. This workshop was conducted as a part of the preparations for the Global Conference on Psychopathology & Rehabilitation (GCPR-24), themed “Wellness: Our Shared Responsibility,” held at UCP on June 26 & 27, 2024.

This session provided insights into solution-focused therapy principles, offering practical tools like the miracle question and scaling techniques. Participants actively engaged in role-plays and case studies, gaining hands-on experience. The workshop fostered a collaborative learning environment, enhancing the participants’ confidence and competence in applying SFT in their practice. Dr. Ajmal’s expertise and passion significantly enriched the learning experience, equipping attendees with valuable skills to facilitate positive change in clients’ lives. Overall, the workshop was a resounding success.
