The Volunteers in Service (VIS) department at the University of Central Punjab was recognized at the Alkhidmat Youth Gathering (AYG) 2024. This event, held annually by the Alkhidmat Foundation, honors volunteers and those who contribute to social development in Pakistan.
Muhammad Hammad Ur Rehman, Head of the VIS Department, represented UCP at the event. The department was praised for its impactful collaboration as a key partner in the Tree Plantation Drive, planting over 1 million trees since 2022, in partnership with the Alkhidmat Foundation. UCP volunteers were also acknowledged for their dedication in distributing free Aftaar packs and Ration packs to more than 100,000 families during Ramadan. This reflects the commitment of the VIS department at UCP in promoting volunteerism. It emphasizes the importance of being active contributors to society and working together for its sustainability. It shows the power of community efforts to create a better environment for everyone.
To honor their hard work, Muhammad Hammad Ur Rehman, Head of the VIS Department, was presented with a shield of appreciation by Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman, the Central Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, on behalf of the Alkhidmat Foundation.
