A study trip to FAST Cables was organized by Ms. Sidra Nasreem, Principal Lecturer of the Faculty of Management Sciences, with Dr. Ali Raza joining the group. A total of 30 students from the Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Management courses participated.
The group was warmly welcomed by Mr. Muhammad Hafeez-ur Rehman and Mr. Raja Ishfaq, the Manager of Quality Assurance at FAST Cables. The visit began with an introductory video about the company, giving the students a clear understanding of its operations. Mr. Hafeez and Mr. Ishfaq then shared valuable insights on various areas of the business, including HR policies, accounting systems, security management, and the cable production process. They also discussed the company’s recent developments and its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
After the presentation, students enjoyed refreshments before heading to the production plant. They had the chance to observe the advanced technology and manufacturing processes firsthand. The students were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions that were enthusiastically answered by the representatives.
The trip provided students with practical knowledge about the industry, bridging the gap between theory and real-world experience. It gave them a deeper understanding of business operations and corporate culture, which will help them in their future careers. The visit concluded with a souvenir presentation to the FAST Cables team and discussions on potential future collaborations between the University of Central Punjab and FAST Cables.
