The QEC-UCP (Sustainability Wing) recently held an important panel discussion called “Innovative & Sustainable Packaging Solutions: Transforming Waste Management and Reducing Plastic Pollution.” This event was part of the World Bank’s PLEASE project and supported by ISP Environmental Solutions.
The event was graced by the presence of our Provost, Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob, whose encouraging words highlighted UCP’s strong commitment to protecting the environment.
The panel included experts such as Dr. Raja Irfan Sabir and Dr. Kanza Aziz from UCP, Dr. Zillay Mariam and Dr. Waqas from ISP Environmental Solutions, and Dr. Farhan Saeed from UET. They shared important insights on the need for sustainable packaging and its role in supporting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This event added significant value to the students by giving them the opportunity to engage with experts in the field, deepening their understanding of sustainable practices and waste management solutions. It also inspired them to think critically about how they can contribute to environmental sustainability through innovation.
In addition, our students earned a Runner-Up position at an SDG event at UET for presenting an innovative pollutant reactor model.
We sincerely thank the panelists, students, and faculty for their contributions. Together, we are working towards a cleaner and more sustainable future.
