Dr. Evelin Lindner, founder of Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies, visited the University of Central Punjab (UCP) and toured the Dunya Foundation to observe its community upliftment projects. During her visit, she explored various initiatives, such as vocational training for women in sewing shoes and for men in plumbing and electrical work, which promote financial independence. She also learned about sustainable solutions like solar energy installations, microfinance programs with a 100% return rate, and educational facilities, including clean water filtration plants aimed at enhancing community well-being.
Dr. Lindner commended the Dunya Foundation’s focus on fostering independence and dignity instead of providing direct aid, emphasizing its role in social mobility. The visit was organized by representatives from the Dunya Foundation, UCP’s International Office, and the Department of Psychology, including Mr. Jahanzaib, Mr. Gulfam, Mr. Sikandar Sethi, Dr. Bushra Naz, Ms. Momina Nayyar, Mr. Hamid Bilal, and Ms. Noor ul Ain Basit.
