The Faculty of Engineering organized an insightful industrial visit to SkyPower Pvt. Ltd. for BSc Electrical Engineering students from the Fall 2022 and 2023 batches. The visit was supervised by Dr. Ali Ahmad, Assistant Professor and FILO-FoE, to provide students with practical exposure to cutting-edge energy solutions and manufacturing practices.
The students received a warm welcome from the Creative Group, led by Engr. Ijaz Rabbani, Director of Operations, and supported by team members Mr. Ahsan Manzoor, Ms. Laiba, and Ms. Khadija. Engr. Ijaz Rabbani delivered an in-depth presentation covering the company’s manufacturing processes, including:
- Current Transformers (CTs).
- LT/HT panels.
- Coil windings and transformer cores.
Students were particularly inspired by SkyPower Pvt. Ltd.’s innovative approach to energy independence through solar and biogas systems. The company’s development of energy meters and self-reliant equipment, which reduce reliance on imports, showcased its dedication to sustainable and locally-driven solutions.
The visit concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students interacted with industry professionals to deepen their understanding of advanced energy technologies and industry challenges.
This visit reflects UCP’s commitment to blending academic knowledge with practical experiences, preparing students to excel in the dynamic field of electrical engineering.
