The UCP Alumni Relations Office, in collaboration with Startup Grind, Transforming Hub, and Popcorn Studio, recently hosted Career Readiness Workshop for new graduates from the Faculty of Information Technology. The event aimed to prepare students for the professional world by offering valuable insights and guidance from industry leaders.
The workshop featured Keynote speaker Pro-Rector, Dr Hammad Naveed, an engaging panel discussion titled Securing Your First Job, where top industry professionals shared their personal experiences, success strategies and the challenges they faced at the beginning of their careers. This provided students with practical advice on how to approach the job market and make a strong start in their careers.
Additionally, HR experts and tech evaluators from leading national organizations shared tips on acing interviews, meeting industry standards and developing the skills necessary for a successful career in tech. The workshop offered participants a valuable opportunity to understand what employers look for and how to stand out in a competitive job market.
