Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS), University of Central Punjab (UCP) hosted the Deputy Consul General of China at Lahore (DGC) Excellency Mr. Cao Ke for Scholarships distribution ceremony as Chief Guest. It is an important aspect to celebrate academic excellence and Pakistan-China friendship. This event featured esteemed guests, including DCG, UCP Pro-Rector Dr. Hammad Naveed, and Dean FHSS Dr. Khalid Manzoor Butt. The Consul General Excellency Zhao Shiren had initiated this scholarships program last year with an amount of Rs.500,000 and this year he has doubled the amount to one million rupees to give financial aid to 20 high achievers and financially challenged students from Psychology, Economics, Political Science, and International Relations departments. Indeed, it’s an inspiring initiative for the students, shared by Dr Khalid Manzoor Butt. Excellency Cao Ke stated that China wanted to see Pakistan growing and we would help in all respect. Dr. Hammad Naveed, emphasized education’s role in fostering integrity and development. He also thanked the DCG for the financial help to continue scholarships program. At the end a souvenir was presented to the Chief Guest Excellency Cao Ke by Prorector UCP Dr Naveed. The event concluded with a group photo, symbolizing collaboration and mutual respect.
