On 29th October 2024, the Faculty of Languages and Literature (FLL) organized an insightful industry visit to Indus Hospital, Jubilee Town, Lahore. The FLL delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Shafeeq Haider, Chief Operating Officer of IHHN North, along with Ms. Malahat and Mr. Waqas. The faculty members had the opportunity to gain firsthand exposure to the hospital’s advanced operations, patient care systems, and community outreach initiatives.
The visit aimed to explore potential collaborations, discuss student placement opportunities, and establish partnerships that could enhance the academic experience at FLL-UCP. A key focus was on the importance of effective communication skills and accurate documentation in healthcare, reinforcing FLL’s commitment to integrating linguistic expertise into industry practices.
The visit was coordinated by Mr. Nohaiz Mehmood (FILO) and Ms. Fatima Urooj (Senior Program Coordinator for Student Engagement and Industrial Linkages), under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Fehmida Sultana, Dean of FLL.
This initiative highlights FLL-UCP’s dedication to helping students apply their language skills in real-world industries.
