Prof. Dr. Fawad Baig, Dean FMMC, delivered a talk on “Film, Theatre, and Society” under the Media Literacy Program – 2026. The session was attended by approximately 75 students from various faculties, primarily from non-media backgrounds, who had registered for the program. Dr. Baig discussed key themes including three major film styles and global cinema trends, commercial versus parallel cinema, and the fundamentals of film grammar. He also highlighted the different phases of Pakistani cinema, the role of documentary filmmaking in advocacy, and the significance of theatre as a dramatic art form. Additionally, he elaborated on various forms of theatrical drama and notable theatre groups in Pakistan.
