Faculty of Engineering conducted the Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) and Board of Studies (BOS) meetings for the Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering departments. The meetings focused on reviewing academic curricula, aligning programs with evolving industry requirements, and strengthening academia–industry collaboration through valuable input from industry experts and academic professionals.
The Mechanical Engineering Department discussed industrial collaborations, supervised internships, industry-funded projects, and emerging engineering trends with representatives from Honda Atlas Cars, Infinity Engineering, UET Lahore, MECAS Engineering, Millat Tractors, and WASA.
The Civil Engineering Department’s meeting included representatives from SMEC, NESPAK, and Ittefaq Construction Associates, with discussions centered on graduate employability, industry-driven internships, curriculum enhancement, and alignment with PEC requirements.
The Electrical Engineering Department engaged experts from the IC Design, Robotics, Electronics, Computing, Power, and Solar Energy sectors to discuss curriculum updates, including a proposed specialization in Electric Vehicles and revisions to the Scheme of Studies. These sessions were chaired by Dr. Faiz ul Hassan and Dean FoE, Prof. Dr. Rizwan Shad, along with the heads of departments.
