University of Central Punjab in collaboration with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) organized a seminar on Anti-corruption. Additional Director, Attia Azmat and Deputy Director NAB Lahore, Munazza Tasneem’s, presence added significance to the occasion.
Ms. Attia Azmat addressed the audience with a thorough presentation on various aspects of anti-corruption, discussing the mechanisms of corruption, its effects on society, and the legal frameworks established to counter it. Her presentation engaged students deeply, leading to a lively question-and-answer session where students raised thoughtful questions on the role they could play in fostering a corruption-free society.
Following the seminar, Dr. Muhammad Yaqoob, Provost of UCP, delivered a heartfelt thank-you speech, appreciating Ms. Attia and NAB officials for their valuable time and efforts in highlighting NAB’s role in preventing corruption and enforcing accountability. He emphasized the importance of such sessions in cultivating an informed and ethically responsible student community.
The event concluded with a symbolic walk around the UCP campus, where students and faculty joined NAB officials in a show of commitment to combating corruption. The seminar was organized by the dedicated efforts of Syeda Ayesha Noor, Ms. Zasheer, and their team, reflecting UCP’s dedication to character building and ethical development.
