Prof. Dr. Sumera Zaib delivered a plenary lecture titled “Managing Diabetes with Novel Drug Discovery: Challenges and Opportunities” at the 4th Conference on Emerging Trends in Chemistry (CCUMT 2026), held as part of the UMT Multidisciplinary Science Congress 2026 (MSC-2026) at the University of Management and Technology. During her presentation, she highlighted the discovery of novel synthetic inhibitors, the identification of promising biomarkers and insulin-related proteins relevant to diabetes research, and the challenges associated with translating scientific discoveries into practical applications.
