RDAI Certificate Ceremony

ICAP Awarded RDAI Status to UCP

The Institute of Chartered Accountants Pakistan (ICAP) awarded the status of Relevant Degree Awarding Institute (RDAI) to the University of Central Punjab (UCP). Now, UCP graduates of BS Accounting and Finance will be given exemption from the first eight papers of Chartered Accountancy examinations. This will provide the graduates of UCP with a head start while pursuing Chartered Accountancy qualification with ICAP.

Dr. Faisal Mustafa, Provost – UCP welcomed the members of ICAP. Dr. Ather Azim Khan, Associate Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, heads of various departments, and other faculty members of UCP were also present on this occasion. Mr. M. Ali Latif, Vice President of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, Mr. Anayat Ullah Khan, Senior Manager, Education & Training and Mr. Salman Abbasi, Deputy Director, Training & Student Affairs participated in the ceremony from ICAP.

Mr. M. Ali Latif, Vice President-ICAP speaking on the occasion said that both the organizations share the common vision of serving the profession of accounting and finance and RDAI is a great step in this direction. He reiterated that the dedicated leadership and learned faculty of both these institutes will play an instrumental role in this regard.

The two institutes expressed their intention to promote research and development in Pakistan by having research interest in the areas of accounting, finance, auditing, corporate governance, and taxation.

At the end of the ceremony Mr. M. Ali Latif presented the RDAI certificate to Dr. Faisal Mustafa.
