Department of Biotechnology’s students developed CharBoost under the supervision of Dr. Ammara Masood. CharBoost is an innovative biochar produced from rice husk and designed to naturally enhance soil productivity. Its highly porous structure improves water retention, supports beneficial soil microorganisms, and promotes sustainable crop growth. By converting agricultural waste into a value-added soil amendment, the project demonstrates the practical application of circular economy principles while contributing to environmentally sustainable agricultural practices.
