University of Central Punjab organized an Urdu Mushaira on November 1, 2024 to create an evening that celebrated the beauty of expression and how language has the power to spark emotions. The evening was lit up by poets such as Wajid Ameer, Hameeda Shaheen, Azhar Faragh, Ali Zaryoun, Umair Najmi, Ammar Iqbal, Ahmed Saeed, GM Shah, Zia Mazkoor, Sohaib Mugheera, Zaib-un-Nisa Wasiq, Mah-e-Noor, Kafeel Rana, and Ahmed Abdullah, who shared their mesmerizing verses.
Each poet brought their unique style, and the atmosphere was filled with a rich exchange of poetic expressions that resonated deeply with the audience. The emotions stirred by their words lingered in the air long after the event had ended. The audience, composed of staff, students, and faculty members, left the event with a deeper appreciation for language, its power to evoke emotion, and the beauty of poetic expression.
The evening’s aim was to unite hearts and minds through the shared love of language, fostering an atmosphere of connection and inspiration.
