Let’s Read SAF’ians

The Reading Club of School of Accounting and Finance

School of Accounting and Finance, SAF arranged its reading club’s session to promote reading among students. The club holds regular weekly sessions of book reviews and discussions. This session was held on 9th of November 2017.
Faculty members and students were also invited to read their literary contributions. In this session of SAF reading club Dr. Najam-us-Sahar Butt, Pushkin Award Winner 2017 (Which is Russia’s highest literary award) introduced his book “Mard e Ahan” translated by Dr. Sahar Butt.
Dr. Najam told the students about his days at Moscow during his study and his acquaintance with the book that he translated in Urdu for Pakistani readers. He told the story of the book in his own words, which made the SAFians interested in translation and with a smile asked the students to read books.
The book contains various points in addition to the story that takes readers into the world where the characters lived. Dr. Butt read some excerpts of his translations and got high appreciation.
Director SAF Prof. Dr. Ather Azim Khan and faculty members of SAF were also present. The event was organized by Ms. Javaria Qais Joiya and students of SAF.
