To recognize the significant efforts made by Sir Allama Muhammad Iqbal, who infused the spirit of self-determination and sovereignty in people which later formed a nation, UCP’s Literary Society arranged an event under the title of “Tabeer-e-Iqbal” to honor his revolutionary thoughts.

Director of International Iqbal Society, Mr. Zahid Shamsi graced the occasion as a Chief Guest and President of International Iqbal Society, Ms. Yasmin Bokhari was the Guest of Honor. Excerpts from Iqbal’s book were narrated and a speech was made by the students to praise Sir Iqbal’s nonpareil struggle throughout his life.

A poetry recitation competition was also held in which student’s recited from Sir Iqbal’s matchless work. Performers inhabited the poems in such a manner that the audiences and judges could experience it with them. Their selection of poems and dramatization in itself left everyone awestruck.Students’ performances were marked on the given criteria and were awarded cash prizes and awards based on the positions they secured. A true spirit of Sir Iqbal’s Pakistan has revived once again in this event.
