Training on emergency preparedness, response and prevention

Disaster Management Society (DMS) of University of Central Punjab organized three days training program on  “Emergency preparedness, response and prevention” in collaboration with Punjab Emergency Services, Rescue 1122.

Three days hands-on training session was conducted by the trainers from Rescue 1122 including CPR, FBAO, first aid, control bleeding, fracture management, shifting protocol, backbone injury management and firefighting. After the completion of the training, participants provided practical demonstration of the techniques for handling different types of emergencies.

Dr. Rizwan Naseer, Diretor General (SI) Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122 graced the closing ceremony as Chief Guest and was accompanied by senior officials Mr. Shahid Waheed Qamar, District Emergency Officer and Dr. Rizwam Ahmad, Emergency Officer from Rescue 1122. Mr. Tahir Ashfaq, Director Student Affairs, Mr. Amjad Niaz, Director Administration and Ms. Shabana Naveed, Patron DMS received the guests. 

The Patron, Ms. Shabana Naveed welcomed the guests and all the participants. She presented the salient features and purpose of the event emphasizing the need to train the community for emergency management.     

The Chief Guest, Dr. Rizwan Naseer addressed the audience and highlighted the importance of disaster and emergency management and the significant role and services of Rescue 1122 in emergency management in Pakistan. The Pro-Rector, Dr. Muhammad Zafarullah appreciated the conduction of the training program and the collaboration of Rescue 1122.

In the end, Dr. Muhammad Zafarullah, Pro-Rector UCP presented souvenirs to the trainers and organizers with a vote of thanks.
