WOMEN AND HYGIENE NISA SOCIETY

Nisa society and GirlyThings organized a seminar on ‘Women and Hygiene’ at University of Central Punjab. Six guest speakers were invited to talk about the subject matter.

Event started with the recitation of holy Quran which was followed by national anthem. Ms. Tanzeela Khan; a well-known motivational speaker gave a brief introduction about the seminar and educated the audience about the importance of hygiene. Dr. Noreen Zafar; gynecologist talked about all types of major medical problems that girls have to face, from menstruation to endometriosis. Ms. Huma Haseeb, an Islamic scholar gave a speech about girls’ problems in context to Islam. Abeer Naseem, who is a psychologist by profession told the girls about how to live a good and happy life. Saba Gul Hassan, a nutritionist shared her life experiences and told how to live a healthy life through good nutrition. Laraib Gul, who is an activist shared her inspirational life experiences and motivated the girls

As the motivational lectures ended a panel question answer session was conducted later. Patron of Nisa Society, Ms. Marriam Rao addressed the audience and delivered a vote of thanks to all the attendees. The event ended with souvenirs distribution by Dr. Fehmida Sultana, Dean Faculty of Arts and Social Sceinces. Dr. Faisal Mustafa, Dean Business School also appeared for group pictures and appreciated the efforts of Nisa society.
