Minimum GPA required to clear a course is 1.0 or D letter grade.
Every student can repeat his W (With drawn) or F (failed) grade courses and For improvement, every student can repeat his W (withdrawn) course/courses, F (failed) grade course/courses, or already passed course/courses with less than or equal to C grade.
When a student’s CGPA goes below 2.0 at the end of a semester, it’s called first probation; if in the next semester CGPA again remains below 2.0, it’s called second probation, and if it happens for the third consecutive semester then that student can’t continue his degree.

Every student can register his or her senior design project after having 94 credit hours. Senior design projects are usually registered as a group of three students.
During the senior design project, 4 different evaluation stages are there, all its requirements and details are there on the FOIT project web site.
Minimum time for the completion of senior design project is one year.

MS Computer Science

Minimum 2.0 CGPA is required to apply for the admission in MSCS program, after that other requirements are also added. (Test + Technical Interview)
This degree is divided into 4 semesters, having 1, 2 or 3 courses during these semesters.For degree completion, total number of courses is either ‘10 courses’ or ‘8 courses+ MS thesis’.

A student can be withdrawn from a course on two basis: either on attendance ( 6 absents in 3 credit hour course are allowed after which student is withdrawn) or on application by the student to withdraw from the course due to any reason but its last date can be checked on that semester calendar.

This degree is divided into minimum of 3 years. Students need to take 6 courses of 3 credit hour each. Furthermore 30 credit hours of research thesis are required to complete the degree.
