Wafa Haider is an accomplished academic and poetess with a strong background in English literature and Sufi studies. She completed her matriculation from Convent School, Sargodha, and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in English with distinction from the University of Sargodha. She further pursued her academic journey with an MPhil from Government College University (GCU) Lahore, where she conducted landmark research on the revered Sufi poet Shah Hussain. In addition to her scholarly pursuits, Wafa has actively mentored students preparing for competitive exams. A bilingual poetess, she expresses her creative voice in both Urdu and English, and is currently working on two books—one a research-based exploration of Shah Hussain’s legacy, and the other a collection of her English poetry. For the past five years, she has been a dedicated faculty member at the University of Central Punjab (UCP), where she has taught a variety of subjects, contributing significantly to both academic and literary circles.
