Arooj Nazir

Ms. Arooj Nazir has completed her MS Clinical Psychology from Government College University, Lahore. She has won many awards in extra/co-curricular activities at university and inter university level. She has gained her experience from government and private sectors in teaching and clinical practices. She had been actively involved with Government’s outreach programs for mental health awareness for children. She has presented her research papers and case studies at national and international conferences. She has attended various workshops at governmental and private level to enhance her skills in diagnosis, assessment, psychotherapy including CBT and Management of childhood disorders along with development of IEP/ITP for Special Need Children. She has done several internships/volunteers work during her career including at Psychiatry department at Ganga Ram Hospital, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital and Research Centre, Hamza Foundation for Deaf, SOS Children’s village, The Citizen Foundation and Government schools as a Counsellor to adolescents. Her research interests are diverse and follows a mix approach of qualitative and quantitative research methods. The research areas include scale development, motivation, job satisfaction, humour styles, young adults, mobile phone addiction, and therapeutic intervention for child/adult disorders.
