Dr. Muhammad Aslam is Associate Professor of English (Linguistics) at Department of English, FOLL, University of Central Punjab, Lahore. He holds a PhD degree in English Linguistics from International Islamic University, Islamabad. He earned his MPhil from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, graduating as a Gold Medalist in recognition of his outstanding academic performance Before joining University of Central Punjab in October, 2023, he had taught at the Department of ELT & Linguistics, University of the Punjab, Lahore, for 22 years. His special interest in research is SFL-Based Genre Theory & its applications, Comparative Syntax, Comparative Morphology, Pragmatics, and Pakistani Languages. Dr. Aslam has publications to his credit in national and international journals. His teaching interests include Generative Syntax, Descriptive Syntax, Functional Syntax, Morphology, Research Methodology, and Academic Writing.  He has experience of teaching at MPhil and PhD levels in public and private universities.
