Prof. Dr. Fehmida Sultana

Professor Emerita

Dr. Fehmida Sultana has been associated with the University of Central Punjab (UCP) since 1994 and has made significant contributions to the University’s academic and institutional development over more than three decades. Prior to joining UCP, she taught at Harvard University, Massachusetts, and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Throughout her distinguished association with UCP, Dr. Sultana has contributed to the growth and transformation of the University through her academic excellence, leadership, and commitment to education. Her journey has been closely intertwined with the development of the institution, and her contributions have had a lasting impact on generations of students, faculty members, and colleagues. Dr. Sultana served as Pro-Rector of UCP from 2006 to 2010, providing academic and institutional leadership during an important phase of the University’s development. Her experience, vision, and dedication contributed significantly to the continued advancement of the University. In recognition of her distinguished and meritorious service to UCP, Dr. Fehmida Sultana was conferred the title of Professor Emerita in 2026 upon her retirement from the University. Dr. Sultana holds the distinction of being the first Professor Emerita of the University of Central Punjab, an honour that reflects her exceptional academic and professional contributions and the enduring respect and esteem she has earned throughout her distinguished career.
