She has an extensive 20-year career as a Radio Broadcaster, along with over a decade of experience in academia. Her educational journey began as a Lecturer, and for the past 9.5 years, she has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Media and Mass Communication at the University of Central Punjab (UCP), Lahore, Pakistan. With a strong commitment to both teaching and practice, she specializes in Broadcast Journalism, and her research focuses on ” Core Competencies Requisites for Pakistani FM Radio Broadcasters in the Digital Era.”

She earned her PhD in Radio Broadcasting from UCP in 2021, following earlier academic achievements that include a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) and an M.Phil both with honour from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan.

Throughout her career, she has seamlessly integrated media industry experience with academic leadership. She proudly served as the founding Head of UCP Radio & Production House and formerly held the position of Patron of the UCP Performing Arts Society and the Dramatics Society, where she actively mentored students in creative expression and performing arts. At present, she oversees Pakistan’s only Campus Radio, FM 92.6 “UCP KI DUNYA,” which broadcasts 24/7, providing students with valuable hands-on experience in live radio production.

She has been serving as the Chair of the Audio Section at MCAP, Pakistan’s largest association of media academicians and professionals. In this capacity, she plays a pivotal role in promoting audio education and innovation across institutions. She is deeply invested in sensitizing students to the evolving landscape of digital storytelling, immersive media experiences, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technology, encouraging them to explore future-oriented narratives and tools in the media field.

In addition to her academic responsibilities, she has actively contributed to university governance and student affairs. She has served as a member of the Academic Council and Board of Faculty within her department. Currently, she is the Head of the Student Disciplinary Committee for the Faculty of Media and Mass Communication and a proud member of the Project Approval Committee, where she evaluates and supports student-led research and creative projects. She has also served as a Jury Member for the Talent-Based Scholarship Committee, recognizing and encouraging exceptional student talent.

Her scholarly contributions include numerous publications in HEC-recognized and impact factor journals, along with presentations at various international conferences, where she continues to represent and elevate Pakistani media research.

Known for her inclusive mentorship, visionary thinking, and commitment to student empowerment, she strives to prepare the next generation of media professionals to be critically aware, technologically adept, and creatively driven.
