Prof. Dr. Khalid Manzoor Butt is an accomplished academician who has served as chairperson, Department of Political Science and Dean of Arts & Social Sciences at GC University Lahore. In the same institution, he was Director of Centre of Excellence China Studies as well as Chief Editor of The Journal of Political Science. He has completed his PhD in Political Science in 2010 and remained fellow at ZEF, Germany and CUG Wuhan, China – has took part in collaborative research projects. He has a vast experience in the field of teaching, administration and research.
Prof. Butt is prolific researcher – wrote 1 book and 45 research articles, published in national and international journals. He is an expert of Human Rights, Social Development and politics of Indian Ocean. He is HEC approved supervisor for PhD and so far, have supervised 4 PhD, 25 MPhil and various MA and BA hons thesis. Due to his academic excellence, he was invited by various universities as Guest Speakers. He travelled across the globe and participated in various international conferences where he read his papers. Prof. Butt is also member of Board of Governor, Centre for South Asian Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore.
