Dr. Naz Fatima earned her Ph.D in Zoology with specialization in cell and molecular biology from Institute of Zoology, University of the Punjab Q-A Campus Lahore, Pakistan. During her Ph.D, she was recipient of exchange Scholarship to The Ohio State University Columbus-OH USA. She explored the interplay between Tacrolimus and hedgehog signaling pathway at mRNA and protein level during Ph.D studies. Ms. Naz has substantial experience in the area of molecular biology and has also been involved in clinical genetics research. She is also working as a reviewer for academic journals. Her field of specialization is Cellular, Molecular and clinical biology of internal organs with a focus on lipid metabolism during inflammation and hepatic injury. Prevention and treatment of human diseases relies extensively on the efforts of basic science researchers, which serves as a strong motivator for Dr. Fatima. She is focused and enthusiastic to continue her academic career combined with research where she can help students to flourish and groom as good scientists.
