Ms. Mariyam Idrees Sandhu is a visual artist, graphic designer, and Senior Lecturer at the University of Central Punjab (UCP), with extensive experience in art, design, and visual communication. She holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Graphic Design from the University of the Punjab, a Postgraduate Diploma in Interior Design from the National College of Arts (NCA), and a one-year diploma in Graphic Design. With over six years of professional experience in digital brand management, marketing, and layout design, she has developed expertise in visual storytelling and digital communication. Her professional portfolio includes designing more than 300 mini websites for Alibaba. Her artistic practice encompasses watercolour painting, calligraphy, drawing, graphic design, and digital art. She has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions and competitions, including the world's largest painting event recognized by Guinness World Records in 2012. Her achievements include first position in the Toyota Painting Competition, a silver medal from the Art & Photography Society at King Edward Medical University, and third position in the Islamic Art Society competition in the USA in 2024 and 2026. She has also held two solo painting exhibitions, showcasing her distinctive artistic expression and creative vision. As an educator, Ms. Mariyam is committed to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and practical design skills among students. Through her academic and professional experience, she continues to inspire emerging artists and designers while contributing to visual communication and contemporary art.
Dr. Saleem Akhtar Maghrana

Dr. Saleem Akhtar is an accomplished academic and media professional with over 10 years of experience in teaching, research, and industry practice. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor and MPhil/MS Program Coordinator at the Faculty of Media and Mass Communication, UCP. He holds a PhD in Media Studies and was a Visiting PhD Scholar at Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media, and Culture, UK. Additionally, he earned an MPhil in Communication Studies and an MBA from The CTL Euro College, Cyprus. With prior leadership roles as Head of Department at UCP TV and Production House, as well as production experience at GNN TV and Midas (Pvt.) Ltd., Dr. Saleem bridges academia and industry expertise. His research focuses on journalism, broadcast media, digital communication, and political communication, with multiple published papers and supervised theses at FMMC, UCP.
