UCP Faculty’s Project Tech for Tomorrow: Empowering Girls and the Underprivileged won grant worth USD 13,000 at IEEE Computer Society Diversity & Inclusion Project & Program 2024

Tech for Tomorrow is a transformative initiative designed to empower girls and underprivileged individuals through immersive experiences in robotics and Python programming. The project aims to address the crucial need for diversity and inclusion in the technology sector by offering a comprehensive program consisting of hackathons and tech-tutoring sessions. Through hackathons, participants will engage in hands-on problem-solving activities, fostering creativity and innovation. This program will provide a platform for participants to collaborate, experiment, and develop practical skills in technology.

Grant Amount: 13000 USD Out of the 124 proposals received for the latest round of D&I funding, IEEE CS selected five programs.
