Appreciation Award – Orange Line Metro Rail Transit System (OLMRTS), 2022

For an efficient and effective national innovation system, the collaboration between the industry and academia is becoming increasingly crucial. There are several benefits associated with exploring the academia-industry collaboration in developed countries as it enables to shed light on the motivations, barriers of cooperation and influence of public policy on developing such linkages. However, in developing countries, there are several challenges associated with such alliances and there is a stress on differential approach to foster industry-academia linkages. Industry-academia Linkage (IAL) is a crucial mediator and modulator of skill development, adoption of knowledge and promotion of entrepreneurship. It also aids in strengthening R&D investment via exploiting the synergies and complementarities present in scientific and technological capabilities. This, in turn, nurtures commercialization and mobility of labor in both the public and private sectors.
Dr. Raja Irfan Sabir, Head of Department alongside Mr. Mustafa Hannan, Senior Lecturer, Department of Marketing, Operations & Supply Chain received an Appreciation Award from Orange Line Metro Rail Transit System (OLMRTS), Lahore on 22-12-22. The Award was given as a token of appreciation to UCP Business School for its contribution to OLMRTS in terms of trainings and efforts to bridge the gap between the academia and industry.
