Department of electrical engineering organized an industrial visit to the Nandi Pur Power Plant for the Fall 2020 batch on May 24, 2024. It is a part of the practical learning curriculum, aimed to provide students with firsthand insights into the operations and functioning of various components of a power plant.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to tour the combined cycle thermal power plant, the switchyard, and the run-of-canal hydel plant. The comprehensive visit, guided by the knowledgeable staff at Nandi Pur, offered students valuable exposure to real-world applications of their academic knowledge.
The visit was facilitated by Engr. Naveed, Plant Manager at Nandi Pur, whose team’s cooperation and hospitality ensured a smooth and informative experience for all participants.
Such industrial visits are integral to the Electrical Engineering program at UCP, bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, and equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary for their future careers.
