Guest Speaker Session on Entrepreneurial Identity Development through Digital Media

The Department of Management organized a guest speaker session, HRM and Entrepreneurship, on 25th November 2021. The topic was Entrepreneurial Identity Development through Digital Media, and the guest was Dr Arslan Khalid. He is the secretary of the government’s Social Media department, and he’s currently the focal person to Prime Minister on digital media.
The host started the session started with a recitation from Holy Quran. Head of Department (Management, HRM and Entrepreneurship) gave the welcome address. He welcomed the guest and introduced the theme by highlighting the importance of learning digital media skills for business school students.
After the welcome address, Dr. Aqeel invited Dr. Arslan Khalid to share his knowledge and valuable experiences with students. Dr. Arslan emphasized on the importance of entrepreneurial marketing in making any startup successful. He highlighted the vital entrepreneurial traits required for building a personal brand. Furthermore, he shared his valuable insights on the importance of digital media and available internships and job opportunities in the Digital Media Wing of Pakistan for students. He specifically highlighted the significance of learning new-age skills for students to work in the Digital Media industry.
The session was very informative and interactive. The students received the session well and concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Ambreen Khursheed (Senior Lecturer, FMS). At the end of the session, Dr. Faisal Mustafa, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, presented a souvenir to the guest on behalf of the UCP Business School for sparing his valuable time. He expressed gratitude and thanked the guest for delivering an informative session to the students.
