Neurobiology of Emotions

Department of Psychology, University of Central Punjab, organized an interactive and enlightening seminar on “Neurobiology of Emotions”. The eminent Professor, Dr Aneeq Ahmad, was the speaker and the guest of honour. Professor Dr Aneeq Ahmad is a distinguished Professor and Chair at Henderson State University, Arkadelphia (USA). He has completed his MSC in Psychology from Government College University Lahore. He did his MS and PhD in behavioural neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin, USA. He also had a research fellowship with the National Institute of Health, USA.
Dr Aneeq is an internationally renowned neuroscientist. He is a member of the Society for Neuroscience (SFN), The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), the American Psychological Association (APA), and the Southwestern Psychological Association (SWPA). Moreover, He is serving as a consulting editor for many journals. He has written many research articles and published them with a keen interest in neuroscience.
Above all, Dr Aneeq Ahmad is a son of our very own Ashfaq Ahmad and Bano Aapa.
The seminar was intended to provide a platform for exchanging knowledge and the best experience in the field of neurobiology of emotions. He started from primitive perceptions & took it to the latest development in feelings. He shared his expert knowledge & broad experience with the audience in a very energetic manner. Later, the question-answer session helped the audience understand and relate the complex phenomena of emotions. Faculty and students actively participated in the seminar and thoroughly enjoyed it.
