Volunteers in Service (VIS) department in collaboration with Alzheimer’s Pakistan, organized a talk on Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, highlighting the rising prevalence of dementia in Pakistan.
Mr. Mohammad Jafri discussed the symptoms, causes, and management of the disease, noting that while there is no cure, its progression can be managed with certain medicines and techniques. Alzheimer’s Pakistan offers psychological services and a daycare centre for those affected.
Mr. Jafri also encouraged the audience to join the Global Dementia Friends Movement to help raise awareness about dementia.
