BS Economics

BS Economics is a 4 years programme of 8 semesters with 130 credit hours. A candidate must have Intermediate Certificate in Arts, Sciences or Commerce from a recognized Board/ Institution of higher education in Pakistan or A Levels from an English Educational System. Candidates are also required to appear in an in-house written test, followed by an interview. To further strengthen the BS Economics programme, the department has reoriented to offer specializations in Development Economics or Business Economics with the objective to prepare students to work in public and private sectors, specifically, banking and development sector in the country and abroad.

BS Economics (Specialization: Data Analytics)

Admission Criteria

At least 45% marks or 2nd division in F.Sc./FA/I.Com./ICS/A level or equivalent. Candidates are also required to appear in an in-house written test, followed by an interview.

Prospects

A BS Economics graduate is a highly required human resource in government, development, media, politics, banking and financial sectors. The graduate can opt for economic talk shows, policy-making in the government sector and banking sector and also provides the opportunity to pursue a successful career in politics with their wide knowledge of political economy. The programme allows you to be in a position with which you can positively impact millions of people living in uncertain conditions
