Faculty of Engineering’s 2nd Bootcamp was as an immersive blend of hands-on learning, interactions and career guidance that left all participants inspired and motivated for the engineering profession. This event has ignited an interest in aspiring students in the exciting fields of engineering. They also got a chance to meet with our faculty, alumni, and industry experts to explore the bright prospects of engineering education and receive career counselling.
Intermediate-level students with F.Sc, A levels and DAE backgrounds participated in this day-long event. The participants were welcomed by the Dean and HoDs of the Faculty of Engineering who highlighted the importance of engineering education. Students were given demos and hands-on training on student satellites, Robotics & Intelligent Systems, IoTs, Computer Aided Design and Analysis, 3D printing, and Civil Engineering structures Hackathon. They also visited various engineering labs available at UCP. Pro-Rector UCP, Dr. Hammad Naveed also interacted with the participants, responded to their questions and motivated them to explore the bright prospects of the engineering profession.
The students were also introduced to the four undergrad engineering programs being offered at UCP, namely B.Sc Electrical Engineering, B.Sc Mechanical Engineering, B.Sc Civil Engineering and BS in Robotics and Intelligent Systems.
The event concluded with closing remarks by the chief guest, Provost, Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob, a note of thanks from the Dean, Dr. Muhammad Rizwan Shad and a speech by an accomplished engineering entrepreneur, Engr. Dr. Usman Khan. It was followed by the distribution of the certificates among the participants.
